RESIDENTIAL
TREATMENT

Integrated outpatient services and residential behavioral health care under one roof.

Residential Program Overview

Living Hope Arcadia offers a structured, therapeutic, and supportive Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF) program for adults who need 24/7 supervision, intensive therapeutic interventions, and a safe living environment to stabilize and rebuild their lives. Our residential program provides individuals with the opportunity to step away from overwhelming environments, reduce daily stressors, and engage in focused treatment designed to promote long- term recovery and life stability. Residents receive round-the-clock support from trained staff, access to licensed clinical professionals, daily therapeutic programming, medication management, nutritious meals, and a structured routine that promotes healing and personal growth. The residential setting allows clients to develop healthy habits, strengthen coping skills, and work through emotional challenges with continuous support. Our approach integrates behavioral health therapy, physical wellness, life-skills development, recovery-based programming, and individualized treatment planning. Every resident receives a personalized care plan tailored to their emotional needs, diagnosis, history, strengths, goals, and cultural background.

Levels of Care & Supervision

Our BHRF program is licensed to provide 24-hour supervision and therapeutic care for individuals experiencing acute behavioral health challenges. We support clients who may be transitioning from inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, detox programs, crisis centers, incarceration, homelessness, unsafe living conditions, or environments that contribute to relapse or emotional instability. Residents receive continuous monitoring from staff trained in crisis response, de-escalation, trauma-informed care, medication observation, daily living support, and therapeutic engagement. While our facility is not a locked unit, it provides a structured and safe environment with staff available every hour of the day to support emotional stability, safety, and daily functioning. Clinical oversight ensures that residents receive the appropriate level of care, including therapy, case management, and psychiatric intervention. The goal of this level of care is to stabilize symptoms, increase safety, enhance coping skills, and prepare individuals for successful transition into outpatient treatment.

Our Treatment Approach

Living Hope Arcadia’s residential program uses evidence-based therapeutic interventions designed to support emotional healing, skill development, and long-term stability. Our clinicians incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, trauma-informed practices, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, and strengths-based approaches into individualized and group treatment. Treatment focuses on helping residents gain insight into their symptoms, understand triggers, build emotional regulation skills, and strengthen resilience. We work closely with each resident to identify their goals, eliminate barriers to progress, and foster personal empowerment. The environment is calm, respectful, culturally sensitive, and structured to promote mental clarity and emotional safety. Staff provide coaching throughout the day, guiding residents through moments of distress, assisting with conflict resolution, reinforcing skills learned in therapy, and promoting positive behavior.

Daily Schedule & Therapeutic
Activities

Our daily schedule is intentionally designed to balance structured therapeutic activities with personal reflection, life-skills development, and healthy routine-building. Residents participate in a combination of group therapy, individual therapy, health and wellness sessions, life-skills education, recreational activities, and community-building exercises. Morning routines typically include breakfast, medication administration, mindfulness exercises, and the first therapy session of the day. Midday programming may focus on practical life skills such as communication, problem solving, budgeting, job readiness, relationship building, coping strategies, relapse prevention, and emotional literacy. Afternoon programming often includes additional therapeutic groups, health and wellness education, outings (when appropriate), and personal time. Evenings are designed for reflective activities, journaling, self-care, recreation, and structured wind-down time to support healthy sleep patterns. Every element of the schedule reinforces stability, engagement, responsibility, and self-regulation.

Group therapy

Therapy & Counseling Services Within the Facility

Residents receive individualized therapy sessions based on their treatment plan. Therapy sessions allow them to explore trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, grief, psychosis, and other behavioral health concerns. Licensed clinicians work closely with residents to develop coping strategies and address maladaptive patterns that contribute to crisis or relapse. Group therapy forms a foundational part of the residential program. Groups focus on emotional regulation, trauma processing, communication skills, relapse prevention, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, mindfulness, anger management, and mental health education. These groups help residents build peer support, reduce feelings of isolation, and learn from shared experiences. Family involvement is encouraged when appropriate. Family therapy sessions help rebuild trust, strengthen communication, and establish healthy boundaries that contribute to long-term stability after discharge.

Medication Management & Psychiatric Services

Lifestyle counseling

Residents receive ongoing psychiatric monitoring and medication management to support symptom stabilization and mental wellness. Our psychiatric provider evaluates each resident upon admission and continues to monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, and treatment progress throughout their stay. Medication administration is supervised by trained staff to ensure safety, adherence, and timely adjustments. Staff members observe and document behavioral changes, sleep patterns, appetite, emotional regulation, and potential medical concerns around the clock, keeping the clinical team informed and responsive to resident needs.

Life Skills Development

Recovery extends beyond clinical treatment; it requires building the tools necessary for a stable and self-sufficient life. We provide skill-building in the areas of: • Personal hygiene and self-care routines • Nutrition and meal preparation • Money management and budgeting • Medication adherence • Housing readiness • Employment readiness and communication skills • Emotional intelligence and decision-making Through structured practice, residents gain confidence and competence in navigating everyday responsibilities that support long-term independence.

Program Amenities & Living
Environment

Living Hope Arcadia provides a home-like environment that promotes comfort, safety, and dignity. Residents share communal living areas designed for therapeutic engagement, relaxation, and social connection. Bedrooms are furnished and maintained to support privacy and rest. Meals are prepared according to dietary needs and served in a structured family-style environment that encourages healthy eating habits and social interaction. The home is equipped with areas for recreation, outdoor space for physical activity and fresh air, and quiet areas for reflection or one-on-one sessions.

Admissions Process

Our admissions process is streamlined to reduce barriers and facilitate a smooth transition into care. Referrals may come from hospitals, crisis centers, case managers, outpatient providers, probation officers, family members, or individuals seeking help for themselves. Once a referral is received, our team completes a clinical screening, verifies insurance eligibility, and schedules an admission. Upon arrival, residents undergo an orientation, safety assessment, psychiatric evaluation, and development of an individualized treatment plan. Staff assist with medication reconciliation, personal needs assessment, and integration into the daily schedule. We prioritize rapid admissions for individuals in crisis or unstable environments.

What to Bring / What Not to Bring

Residents receive guidelines on appropriate belongings to support safety and compliance with state regulations. Acceptable items include clothing, hygiene products, prescribed medications, reading materials, and personal comfort items. Prohibited items include weapons, illegal substances, alcohol, restricted electronics, and any objects that may compromise safety. A detailed list is provided to families to ensure smooth admission preparation.

Family Support & Involvement

Mother And Daughter

Families and loved ones are essential to recovery. Our program offers family engagement opportunities, including therapy sessions, education on mental health and substance use, communication skills training, and discharge planning support. We work to repair strained relationships, establish healthy boundaries, and create collaborative support systems that remain active after the resident transitions to outpatient care.

Discharge Planning & Aftercare

Discharge planning begins the moment a resident is admitted. Our goal is to ensure continuity of care and successful integration back into the community. Aftercare plans may include outpatient counseling, psychiatric follow-up, medication management, substance use groups, housing assistance, employment services, and ongoing case management. We collaborate with outpatient providers, family members, and community organizations to ensure the resident’s support system is strong and sustainable after leaving the facility.
